Mission of the Foundation
To foster the spirit of philanthropy for every donor and provide capital resources to support the mission of Saint Anthony Hospital.

In a country of satellite radios, cell phones and the Internet, the plight of the poor in our neighborhoods stands in sharp contrast. Nowhere is the contrast more obvious than in access to health care. Most of the 96,000 people we treat each year are from the growing ranks of the "working poor." While many have no health care insurance, many have coverage that is woefully inadequate. For them, our emergency room is the point of access for their primary health care needs. All too often the lack of preventative care and/or early diagnosis of potentially treatable diseases condemns them to diagnosis in advanced stages of disease—more expensive to treat and less likely to be cured.
