OBSTETRIC (OB) SERVICES

The Maternity Center at Saint Anthony Hospital offers some of the most state of the art LDRs (Labor and Delivery Rooms) and Level II neonatal nurseries in Chicago.

The center occupies an entire hospital floor with special security to promote patient and newborn safety.

The labor and delivery rooms have been designed to foster a private and nurturing environment that supports new families.

Designed with a home-like feel, wood furnishings, TVs and a private bathroom compliment each patient room. While feeling like home, each room still includes all of the necessary high-tech equipment and an available specialized team needed to care for a new mother and her baby.

Obstetricians, Midwives, and Family Practitioners provide obstetrical care, and to assure as comfortable delivery experience as possible, we have obstetrical anesthesiologists to manage patient pain.

In addition, high-risk OB consultants and clinics are on site, and all of our Midwives are Masters prepared.

Family involvement and bonding is the goal and rooming-in is encouraged.

Special bilingual classes are provided daily to assure that new parents are prepared for delivery and are comfortable caring for the newborns.

FREE PRENATAL CLASSES

Having a baby? Take a class...

Our prenatal classes are for those having babies for the first time or for those who have had previous experience with birth and would just like a refresher.

Our classes focus on alleviating your anxieties and setting appropriate expectations on transitioning through your pregnancy.

They are also great way to gain knowledge, share experiences, and meet other parents who are expecting.
