SUMMER FEST
On Saturday, June 26, 2010, Saint Anthony Hospital hosted its 4th Annual Summer Fest, featuring hot rods, low-riders, custom and antique cars and motorcycles and a free health fair expo and screenings.
The Health Fair offered free immunizations, free health and dental screenings, and mini health workshops. There was lots of family-friendly entertainment included DJs, dancers, and special, surprise appearances by South Paw from the Chicago White Sox; the Sky Guy from the WNBA Chicago Sky; and the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile.
Participants had chances to win raffle prizes from oil changes and car washes to electronics, bikes and more.
Summer Fest benefited Saint Anthony Hospital’s Community Wellness and Education Center. The center helps individuals and families develop the tools to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives through programs that work with children with social and emotional needs and adults with mental health needs.
The center also provides family education and parenting skills for parents with children ages zero to five. It helps individuals and families access public services such as health insurance, food stamps and Women Infants and Children.
Summer Fest was held on the grounds of Saint Anthony Hospital, 19th & California.
All families who preregistered for the event received a FREE backpack!
